Frequently asked questions

What is the Pomodoro technique?

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo. Work in focused 25-minute intervals (Pomodoros), followed by a 5-minute break. After 4 Pomodoros, take a longer 15–30 minute break. This cycle improves focus and reduces mental fatigue.

Will the timer continue if I switch browser tabs?

Yes. The countdown runs in the background. The audio alert plays when the session ends, even if the tab is not in focus.

Does the stopwatch support split lap times?

Yes. You can record unlimited lap times and view the split intervals alongside the cumulative elapsed time.

Will the timer keep running if I switch browser tabs?

Yes. The timer calculates elapsed time based on system wall-clock timestamps so it stays accurate even when backgrounded.
