Connect Four
Drop colored discs into a 7x6 vertical grid and outsmart your opponent by connecting four in a line horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
📖 About & Rules: Connect Four
Connect Four is a two-player connection board game where players choose a color and take turns dropping colored discs into a vertically suspended grid.
Game Rules
Players take turns dropping discs into one of seven columns. The disc falls straight down, occupying the lowest available space within the column. The first player to form a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line of four discs of their own color wins the game. If the grid fills completely without a winner, the game is a draw.
How to Play
Click or tap on any column at the top of the board to drop your disc into that column. Plan your moves ahead to set up multiple winning lines while actively blocking your opponent from completing four in a row.
Controls & Shortcuts
Tips & Strategies
- Control the center column: discs placed in the center column can participate in far more four-in-a-row combinations than those placed on the outer edges.
- Watch for two-way traps where placing a disc creates two simultaneous winning threats that your opponent cannot block both.
- Always inspect what move your play will allow your opponent to make directly above your disc.
